Certification Requirements
To qualify for the NAMVS-APS™ Apprentice Marine Surveyor certification, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Minimum 1 Year Maritime Experience

• Minimum Age 18

• Valid MMC and TWIC Credential

• OS or Wiper Endorsement (or approved equivalent)

• Complete Intro to Marine Surveying

• Complete ABYC Standards Training

• Complete Ethics & Professional Standards Training

• Criminal Background Check

• Professional Conduct Agreement

• Pass the APS™ Certification Examination
